"In recent years, Al-Awlaki was more dangerous even than Osama bin Laden. The killing of Al-Awlaki is a great tribute to President Obama and the men and women of our intelligence community," said King.
However, he said, the U.S. must remain vigilant "to know that there are more Islamic terrorists who want to move forward with pleasure to the full support of the dangerous killer".
A U.S. official stated Awlaki, an important propagandist for Al Qaeda in Yemen, was killed in an attack drone unmanned in a city that tepencil Yemen, part of the operation of air attacks launched by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) United States.
